5.Social Welfare Department - SC student -income less than 2.5 lakh p.a.- studying any postmatric courses
6.Tribal Welfare Department - ST student -income less than 2.5 lakh p.a.- studying any postmatric courses
7.Minority Welfare Department - Minority student -income less than 2.5 lakh p.a.- studying any postmatric courses.
8.Backward classes welfare - Category I (income < 2.5 lakh p.a.) & IIA, IIIA, III B, central OBC student (income less than 1 lakh p.a.)- studying any postmatric courses.
9.Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board - Brahmins (EWS) studying any postmatric courses
10.Disability Welfare Department - Disabled but does not belong to any of the above categories & studying any postmatric courses.
11.General Merit - any student who does not belong to any of the categories above and is studying any postmatric courses.
